Caring For Craft Punches

Your craft punches shouldn’t need much care however the following tips may be useful.

  1. Should a punch appear to become blunt, you can sharpen it by punching through tin or aluminium foil a few times.
  2. If the punch is sticking (it shouldn’t) you can use a silicon polish on it, it must be silicon not wax.

June 2007 – Card Making Tips.

  1. Use a cocktail stick to apply peel off stickers it’s easier to place the sticker exactly where you want it without stretching it.
  2. Use a cotton bud and water to wet a line on mulberry tissue paper then tear down the line for a lovely fluffy edge.
  3. To get a rubber stamp image to come out even and clear place a thick computer mouse mat under the paper / card before stamping your image.
  4. If you smudge a stamped image on a card don’t throw it away, re-stamp the image on a matching sheet of card or paper, cut it out and attach over the ruined image with sticky foam pads.
